Spirit of the Hearth
Two hearts, one hearth
In Ravenstail weaving, the checkered motif represents the intricate structure of our ancestral baskets—the vessels that hold our sustenance and our stories. Spirit of the Hearth and its sister piece, The Echo, celebrate the matriarchs and aunties who serve as the foundation of the home.
Against a grounded earth-brown weave, a soft pink heart pulses with warmth. While Spirit of the Hearth honors the steady, grounding presence of the caregiver who keeps the family fire burning, the Echo represents the resonance of that love-the way a matriarch's wisdom is carried forward and reflected in the next generation.
These pieces are a tribute to the quiet, powerful strength that keeps our family fires burning bright.
